AUSTRALIA'S #1 ACOUSTIC GUITAR SPECIALIST
AUSTRALIA'S #1 ACOUSTIC GUITAR SPECIALIST
The Collings D2H is a benchmark square-shouldered dreadnought, delivering the power and depth players expect from a large-bodied acoustic while retaining Collings’ trademark clarity, balance, and precision. Favoured by singer-songwriters and bluegrass flatpickers alike, the D2H offers a commanding low end that supports vocals beautifully, paired with articulate mids and clear, defined highs that cut effortlessly through an ensemble of banjos, fiddles, and mandolins.
Built with a Sitka spruce top and East Indian rosewood back and sides, the D2H is voiced with pre-war scalloped bracing for maximum responsiveness and projection. Premium appointments - including abalone diamond and square fingerboard inlays, herringbone purfling, and a high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish - reflect Collings’ uncompromising attention to detail. A comfortable Modified V neck profile, precise Waverly tuners, and meticulous setup make this a professional-grade dreadnought designed for decades of inspired playing.
This stunning guitar is simply one of the best dreadnoughts you will ever hear. The D2H is a modern classic, and in my opinion one of the all-time great acoustic guitars, and this is a truly awe-inspiring example. It responds instantly to the lightest touch, with a tone that is rich without being muddy, deep without being dark and loud without being brash. There's some light playwear throughout, and some very minor dings on the body and headstock, but in overall great condition. It also features a passive piezo pickup system for natural plugged-in tone. A world-class dreadnought in every sense. Includes original hardshell case.
