The Collings LC Deluxe Archtop is a dazzling, skilfully crafted jazz guitar from luthier Bill Collings. Its 16 inch maple laminate body is fully hollow, with an archtop-style floating tailpiece and bridge designed with vintage tone in mind for the professional jazz player. A bound neck and peghead, along with custom ebony top-hat knobs, complete the guitar’s refined, classic look, finished in a rich full-body sunburst that shows off the spectacular figured maple beneath.
A single Lollar Charlie Christian neck pickup delivers an elegant, clean voice, with highs rolling off smoothly via the tone knob without sapping the guitar’s presence. The short scale length makes wide jazz chord voicings that bit easier to reach, and the guitar comes with its original hardshell case plus a bonus Lollar Imperial humbucker for players who want a more modern tone on hand. This is ideal for the jazz player after a genuinely world-class instrument with room to voice both vintage and contemporary tones.
