Manuel Rodríguez Academia 60-S 'Spruce / Rosewood' Classical Guitar

The Manuel Rodriguez Academia 60-S is a serious classical guitar from the first series in the Rodriguez range to feature the authentic Spanish heel - the hallmark of genuine classical guitar craftsmanship and the construction method that distinguishes a truly Spanish-built instrument from the majority of classical guitars on the market. In this traditional construction, the one-piece mahogany neck extends directly into the body and is connected to the sides, back, and top as a single unit, delivering optimal vibration transmission, faster response, and greater sustain than a conventional bolted or dovetail neck joint can provide. The 60-S variant pairs a solid spruce top with rosewood back and sides - a tonewood combination of genuine classical credibility that produces a bright, projecting voice with clear treble articulation and rich, full bass response.

Handmade in Europe, the 60-S features an ovangkol fingerboard and bridge with bone nut and saddle hand-filed from oiled vintage bone, wooden soundhole mosaic, real wood multi-part body binding and top purfling, gold-plated tuners with lyre design and black buttons, and a factory-fitted GEWA armrest that allows the top to vibrate freely across its full surface while improving playing comfort. Factory-fitted Hannabach 815HTC high tension strings complete a specification that reflects genuine quality and attention to detail at a price point where these appointments are genuinely rare. Ideal for serious classical students, advancing players stepping up from entry-level instruments, and adult players who want a traditionally constructed Spanish classical guitar with premium materials.
