The Cole Clark Culprit 3 marks the return of Cole Clark to the electric guitar world for the first time since 2012 - and it arrives not as a cautious re-entry but as a fully realised statement of what a premium Australian-built semi-hollow electric can be. Built entirely from Australian sustainable timbers and finished in nitrocellulose satin, the Culprit 3 brings Cole Clark’s deep material knowledge and craft heritage to the electric guitar format with the same uncompromising commitment to tonewood quality and considered construction that defines the Fat Lady and Angel acoustic ranges. The semi-hollow body construction delivers an open, warm, and highly responsive acoustic resonance that solid-body instruments cannot replicate - natural sustain, lively dynamic response, and an inherent warmth that responds differently to every playing style and picking attack.

This CCC3-SS-B-NAT example is built with an Australian Blackwood body in nitro satin Natural finish with a tortoiseshell pickguard, and fitted with Cole Clark’s patent-pending True Balance Magnetic Pickup configuration in the SS arrangement - dual single coils - delivering the clear, chimey, and articulate tonal character that makes the SS configuration the natural choice for players who prize note definition, clean sparkle, and the classic single-coil voice across the full dynamic range. The True Balance technology addresses one of the most persistent challenges in single-coil pickup design: perfectly even string-to-string output volume across the full width of the fretboard, making the Culprit 3 SS equally responsive and balanced whether played fingerstyle, flatpicked, or driven hard through overdriven circuits. The open-grained natural Blackwood body brings the timber’s own warm, resonant character directly to the surface - no colour finish between the player and the wood. Australian Blackwood neck, rosewood fretboard with abalone 6mm dot inlays, Wilkinson bridge, Graph Tech TUSQ nut, and Grover machine heads complete a specification of considered premium quality throughout. Supplied in Cole Clark’s rectangular tweed hardshell case.
