The Iris D-WH Model is the brand’s first square-shoulder dreadnought, designed to deliver bold projection, focused low end, and classic American acoustic character. Built in Burlington, Vermont, this model pairs a Sitka spruce top with mahogany back and sides for a dry, punchy voice that responds beautifully to both flatpicking and strumming. With its longer 25.5" scale length and scalloped Adirondack spruce bracing, the D-WH offers strong headroom, clarity, and definition—perfect for players who want a powerful, authoritative dreadnought sound. Named after Iris’s Chief CNC Wizard, Will Hylton, the D-WH reflects Iris Guitar Company’s modern-meets-vintage philosophy. The bolt-on mortise and tenon neck joint ensures excellent stability and serviceability, while the open-pore satin nitrocellulose finish allows the guitar to resonate freely. Subtle vintage details, comfortable neck geometry, and thoughtful appointments make the D-WH a workhorse acoustic with unmistakable Iris personality.
