The David Worthy Talisman is a small jumbo of rare character, a deep-sounding, wonderfully comfortable shape that delivers the voice of a larger guitar without the boxiness of a dreadnought. Built by hand in November 2025 near Dandenong, Victoria, this example pairs a torrefied Adirondack spruce top with Brazilian rosewood back and sides, one of the most storied combinations in acoustic guitar making. Torrefaction gives the Adirondack the open, played-in warmth of a well-seasoned vintage guitar, while the Brazilian rosewood adds a legendary depth, shimmer, and harmonic complexity. Ideal for fingerstyle players, open-tuning explorers, and collectors who want an exceptional Australian-built instrument.

Every detail reflects David Worthy’s decades of craftsmanship: hand-scalloped and tuned braces, a mahogany neck reinforced with carbon fibre, laminated tail blocks, and Gotoh 510 tuning machines. Jarrah binding brings a rich, warm Australian accent against the ebony fingerboard and bridge, giving this guitar a handsome, understated elegance that lets the timbers do the talking. With only a few months of life behind it, this Talisman is a rare chance to own a nearly new Worthy in Brazilian rosewood.

This stunning 2025-built guitar is in immaculate condition, with barely any sign of playwear and a perfect medium action. It's just starting to open up, and has all the qualities you'd expect from a luthier-built guitar with such superb tonewoods - open, resonant and touch sensitive, with incredible balance and sustain. Includes original hardshell case.
