The Goodtime II takes the beloved Goodtime platform and adds a resonator back, giving it the brighter, more projecting tone suited to bluegrass and ensemble playing while retaining the quality construction and playability that have made the Goodtime series a benchmark at its price point. Built with a three-ply violin-grade maple rim, a hand-engraved nickel-plated bronze tone ring, and a rock maple neck, the Goodtime II delivers a clear, bright, and well-balanced banjo tone that holds up confidently in a band context.
This 2007 example is in almost unplayed condition, and aside from some light patina it could almost pass as a new instrument. It's playing wonderfully, with a punchy and authoritative tone, and includes a hardshell case and official Deering gig bag - a practical combination for players who need transport options for different situations.
