AUSTRALIA'S #1 ACOUSTIC GUITAR SPECIALIST
AUSTRALIA'S #1 ACOUSTIC GUITAR SPECIALIST
Established in 2018, Iris Guitars combines modern techniques with vintage-inspired aesthetics to create exceptional instruments. Founded by luthier Adam Buchwald, Iris Guitars offers high-quality, handmade guitars designed for everyday musicians. Drawing inspiration from Depression-era and mid-century designs, each guitar features all-solid tonewoods, hand-made craftsmanship, and stunning build quality, at a price point usually reserved for factory-built guitars.
The Iris DF 'Tobacco Burst' Acoustic Guitar is a vintage-inspired slope-shouldered dreadnought, designed to provide players with a warm, open tone and exceptional tonal clarity. Drawing from the iconic late 1940s J-45 design, this guitar offers the perfect balance of midrange punch and resonant depth. With its Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides, the DF delivers a sound that is perfect for strumming or fingerpicking. Its hand-crafted build, along with a beautifully aged relic finish, makes this guitar a striking addition to any collection, while its playability ensures hours of enjoyment for musicians of all levels.
Visually, the DF model showcases a classic deco firestripe pickguard, ivoroid bindings, and a traditional sunburst top, offering a perfect blend of aesthetic appeal and vintage charm. The guitar features Golden Age open-geared tuners, a bone nut and saddle, and a comfortable 1-11/16” nut width. With its scalloped Adirondack spruce bracing and D’Addario XS Coated strings, the Iris DF offers outstanding resonance and projection. The included hardshell case ensures your investment is always protected.
