The Martin D-X2E Billy Strings Signature takes the spirit of Billy’s prewar D-28 and distills it into a rugged, road-ready dreadnought that begs to be played hard. A solid spruce top pairs with Brazilian-rosewood-patterned HPL back and sides to deliver punchy lows, clear mids, and sparkling highs, giving you that big, open Martin voice with the durability to handle constant travel, rehearsals, and stage time. The shortened 25" scale dials back string tension just enough to make bends, slides, and rapid-fire bluegrass runs feel noticeably easier under the fingers.

Plugged in, the D-X2E Billy Strings holds nothing back. Martin’s E1 electronics faithfully translate the guitar’s natural warmth and detail, while onboard controls and a built-in tuner make it easy to shape your tone and stay in tune on any stage. A comfortable Modified Low Oval neck with satin finish, ebony fingerboard, and old-school diamond inlays keeps playability smooth and fast, and the included softshell case keeps this signature dreadnought protected between sessions, gigs, and festivals.
