The Fender Custom Shop Limited 1962 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic is a recreation of an early 1960s Stratocaster's look, feel and tonal character, built by Fender's Corona, California custom shop and completed on 25 June 2021. Journeyman Relic finishing sits between the light wear of a Closet Classic and the heavy relicing of a Full Relic, giving this guitar a genuinely played-in look and feel without excessive wear.

The alder body is built to 60 Strat specification and finished in aged Aztec Gold nitrocellulose lacquer, paired with three hand-wound Bone Tone pickups routed through a Strat 1/2 blender relay gold control assembly for expanded tonal options beyond a standard five-way switch. The maple rift-sawn neck carries a 60 Style oval C profile with a 7.25-9.50" compound radius and 21 frets, making it ideal for players after an authentic vintage feel with the added flexibility a custom-wound blender circuit provides. This preowned example includes its original hardshell case and case candy.
