A stunning combination of classic aesthetics and deep, complex sound, the Gretsch G6136TG Players Edition Falcon Hollow Body with String-Thru Bigsby stands as one of the truly great electric guitars. Its allure goes beyond appearances; it's a statement of commitment to your craft.
The newly designed FT-67 Filter'Tron humbucking pickups capture the vintage Gretsch voicing while offering a well-rounded tone tailored for modern playing styles. With open and pristine top-end chime, glassy midrange, robust low end, and balanced harmonics, your tones blend seamlessly with other instruments. The Gretsch "ML" bracing unlocks the massive hollow-body sound from the comfortable 2.5"-deep maple body. The control setup, featuring separate bridge and neck volume controls, a three-way pickup toggle switch, a no-load master tone, and master volume, provides infinite tonal possibilities. The "Squeezebox" capacitor adds a smooth vintage tone, and the new treble bleed circuit preserves clarity when adjusting the volume.
Crafted for comfortable playability, the 12"-radius ebony fingerboard with rolled edges and 22 medium jumbo frets sits atop a 25.5"-scale maple neck with a standard "U"-shaped profile. Luminlay side dots ensure precise fretting even in low-light settings. The Bigsby B6GP vibrato tailpiece and Adjusto-Matic bridge, combined with the Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut, guarantee maximum tuning stability. The string-through Bigsby tailpiece simplifies string changes and enhances sustain through increased vibration transfer.
With its powerful sound and stage-ready tonal versatility, this Falcon exudes sophistication, from its Midnight Sapphire or White gloss urethane finish to the gold Grover Imperial locking tuning machines and gold jeweled G-arrow control knobs. The gold sparkle bound neck, body, and F-holes, along with the striking pearloid Neo-Classic™ thumbnail inlays and gold vintage thick plexi pickguard featuring Gretsch and Falcon logos, make a bold visual and sonic statement.
The G6136TG Players Edition Falcon Hollow Body with String-Thru Bigsby and Gold Hardware redefines the classic hollow-body electric guitar for modern players who demand distinction both from themselves and their instruments. It's not just a guitar; it's an epitome of craftsmanship and sonic excellence.
