AUSTRALIA'S #1 ACOUSTIC GUITAR SPECIALIST
AUSTRALIA'S #1 ACOUSTIC GUITAR SPECIALIST
Gibson’s Hummingbird Special in Wine Red takes the iconic square-shouldered dreadnought and gives it a more modern, player-focused twist. With a solid Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides, it delivers that classic Gibson thump and warmth, but with a slightly slimmer body depth for a more balanced, mix-friendly response. The satin Wine Red nitro finish lets the top breathe and resonate, while giving the guitar a laid-back, played-in vibe straight out of the case.
A comfortable Round-profile utile neck and 12-inch-radius rosewood fingerboard make chords and lead lines feel effortless, with split parallelogram inlays providing that unmistakable Hummingbird look. Scalloped X-bracing keeps the top lively and dynamic, responding beautifully to everything from delicate fingerpicking to big, percussive strums. Plugged in, the LR Baggs Element Bronze system delivers a natural, stage-ready voice that captures the character of the guitar without sounding harsh or quacky.
Grover Rotomatic tuners, a rosewood belly bridge and TUSQ nut and saddle keep tuning rock solid and intonation clean, whether you’re on stage, in the studio or just playing at home. If you’ve always loved the look and sound of a Hummingbird but want a slightly more responsive, modern-feeling version, the Hummingbird Special Wine Red hits the sweet spot.
