Ships from our warehouse. No store pickup available for this item.

The Gibson Historic Reissue ES-335 'Sixties Cherry' Ultra Light Aged Electric Guitar is a faithful recreation of the classic ES-335 model from 1961. This guitar has been meticulously crafted by the expert artisans at the Gibson Custom Shop, who have studied, scanned, and listened to original vintage ES models to recreate every detail with remarkable precision. Gibson has established a specialist guitar-ageing department within the Custom Shop known as the Murphy Lab, along with a 50-strong collection of Murphy Lab guitars that are claimed to offer a significant step up from previous Gibson Custom ranges such as Collector’s Choice.

This Gibson ES-335 faithfully recreates the essence of the original 1961 model, down to the smallest details. It features the iconic semi-hollow body design, authentic '61 neck profile, vintage-style hardware, and Custombucker Alnico 3 pickups for that classic PAF tone. The Murphy Lab Ultra Light Aged finish treatment and hardware aging give it the appearance of a well-loved vintage instrument. It's a premium guitar designed for players who appreciate the vintage feel and tone of a classic ES-335.

We endeavour to show the actual instrument in stock whenever possible, but the guitar in stock may differ slightly from the one shown on our website. Materials used can look different from guitar to guitar, including timber grain and colour, parts colours and finishing. If an instrument is a one-of-a-kind or preowned guitar, the picture will always be of the actual guitar in stock, but production models may have slight variations to the picture shown.

If you're after a particular look, feel free to email us at info@acousticcentre.com.au or send us a message through our chat service to request photos of the actual guitar in stock. We are more than happy to send through pictures of all in-stock guitars, to make your choice easier.

Please note that returns will not be accepted for variations in timber grain /  colouring, finish variations and parts colouring, unless there is a fault with the instrument. If you have any questions at all regarding an instrument's appearance, just drop us a line - we're always happy to send photos, and if we have more than one instrument in stock you'll be able to choose the exact guitar that you receive!
