Deering Goodtime Blackgrass 5-String Resonator Banjo

The Deering Goodtime Blackgrass is built for players after a darker, more distinctive take on a traditional Goodtime banjo. A pure black stain across the all-maple wood is accented with matte black hardware and a black head, combining to put a bold, moody twist on an otherwise classic instrument, while still delivering the clear, bright sound maple is known for.

Built exclusively by Deering Banjo Co. in the same San Diego factory as every other Deering model, the Blackgrass shares the familiar Goodtime feel and some of the aesthetics of the Goodtime Artisan line. The Midnight Maple fingerboard is inlaid with Artisan-style pearloid inlays, and the 3-ply violin grade maple construction carried through the rim and resonator delivers optimum tone and resonance. Ideal for pickers who want a Goodtime banjo with more attitude in the looks department, it is easy to play with excellent clarity of note separation.
