Gretsch G9221 Bobtail Steel Resonator Guitar

The Gretsch G9221 Bobtail Steel Resonator Guitar is a modern tribute to the resonator guitars of the 1930s, pairing vintage aesthetics with contemporary playability. Its all-steel body delivers a bright, metallic tone with excellent projection, suiting blues, bluegrass and folk playing. The hand-spun Gretsch Ampli-Sonic resonator cone, crafted from 99% pure aluminium, adds rich tonal clarity and volume.

A mahogany neck with a medium V profile and padauk fingerboard keep the guitar comfortable to play, while the spider bridge, weathered trapeze tailpiece and Grover Sta-Tite die-cast tuners complete the traditional build. Fitted with a Fishman Nashville Series Resophonic pickup, it's ideal for players wanting classic resonator character on stage as well as acoustically.
