Peter Grubb is a talented Australian luthier building refined, thoughtful instruments by hand in his Alphington, Victoria workshop, blending traditional craftsmanship with luxurious appointments, exceptional timbers and impeccable playability. This SJ (Small Jumbo) model is a fine showcase of his work, featuring a flawless Sitka spruce top paired with gorgeously quilted European maple that makes it a fingerstylist's dream.

Rich with overtones that never overwhelm, the SJ is wonderfully responsive and dynamic, with a balanced, open tone and a slight natural compression. The African mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, bridge, binding and bridge pins are finished with a two-tone Macassar ebony and quilted maple headplate, a compensated bone nut and saddle, and a Macassar ebony rosette, ideal for players who want a handmade, one-of-a-kind instrument with genuinely premium detailing.
