The Heritage Custom Shop H-535 Artisan Aged is one of the most compelling semi-hollow electric guitars built at Heritage's legendary 225 Parsons Street facility in Kalamazoo - a guitar that combines the time-proven H-535 platform with Heritage's meticulous factory aging treatment to produce an instrument that looks, feels, and sounds like a beloved vintage guitar from the very first note. The Artisan Aged finish is applied by Heritage's skilled craftsmen at the factory itself - carefully simulated lacquer wear, checking, and hardware patina that immediately distinguishes this H-535 from any standard Custom Shop example, delivering the resonant, broken-in character that players spend decades cultivating on an instrument they love.

The Almond Burst finish glows beautifully through the aged nitrocellulose lacquer, deepening the natural character of the laminated premium curly maple top and back and revealing the warm golden hues that vintage nitro aging uniquely produces. Solid curly maple rims enhance resonance and sustain throughout the semi-hollow body, while Heritage Custom Shop 225 Classic Humbuckers in neck and bridge positions deliver the warm, versatile humbucker voice that suits blues, jazz, and rock with equal ease. The 50s C-shaped mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard with vintage block inlays, bone nut, Jescar medium jumbo frets, CTS 500K potentiometers, Orange Drop .022uF capacitors, and Switchcraft toggle switch reflect Heritage's characteristic refusal to compromise on any element of the specification. Ideal for players who want the authentic, broken-in feel and tonal openness of a well-loved vintage instrument without waiting decades to get there.

Features

  • Heritage Artisan Aged factory finish delivers carefully calibrated lacquer wear, checking, and hardware patina applied by Heritage's own craftsmen - giving this H-535 the resonant, intimately familiar character of a beloved vintage guitar from day one.
  • Laminated premium curly maple top and back with solid curly maple rims deliver the warm, resonant semi-hollow tone that defines the H-535 platform, with the aged nitrocellulose lacquer Almond Burst finish allowing the tonewoods to resonate freely and develop further character over time.
  • Heritage Custom Shop 225 Classic Humbuckers at neck and bridge with CTS 500K potentiometers and Orange Drop .022uF capacitors deliver a warm, versatile humbucker voice suited to blues, jazz, and rock across the full tonal range.
  • 50s C-shaped mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, bone nut, Jescar medium jumbo frets, and vintage block inlays deliver a comfortable, classic playing feel that immediately complements the instrument's aged aesthetic and tonal character.
  • Built entirely by hand at 225 Parsons Street, Kalamazoo - the same address where Heritage's founders learned their craft - the H-535 Artisan Aged is a direct continuation of one of the great American electric guitar traditions.
