Atkin Guitars are hand-built in Canterbury, England, by master luthier Alister Atkin, and the Forty Seven is a masterfully crafted slope-shouldered acoustic that captures the soul of a pre-war LG-2 while adding modern balance, playability and projection. This small-bodied guitar pairs a baked Sitka spruce top with mahogany back and sides, delivering a lively, articulate tone with vintage warmth and a full low end that suits both fingerstyle and flatpicking.

Pre-war scalloped bracing and a comfortable C-shaped mahogany neck give the Forty Seven smooth, expressive playability, while the Indian rosewood fretboard and bridge, Kluson tuners, and hand-bevelled tortoiseshell pickguard complete a vintage-correct specification. Finished in an aged nitrocellulose that gives it a genuinely lived-in character, the Forty Seven is ideal for players who value tone, feel, and authentic pre-war charm over flashy modern features.
