Its 000 body size delivers a well-balanced tone across all six strings, and the East Indian rosewood back and sides offer rich resonance and depth, complemented by a spruce top for clarity and brightness. A shorter 24.9" scale length, preferred by Clapton, is ideal for both fingerstyle playing and expressive bends, while the modified V neck made from genuine mahogany provides comfort and control. The guitar's looks are enhanced with antique toner on top, herringbone inlay, and a full gloss finish. Whether you're playing Slowhand's classics or your own unplugged tunes, this special edition guitar embodies Clapton's influence on acoustic music, offering the same tonal richness and playability that marked his iconic performance and career.
This 2004-built guitar is in great condition, with light playwear and polishing swirls throughout, and a gorgeously-aged soundboard. It's a beautiful sounding instrument, with a rich, warm tone and gorgeous harmonic complexity, and it's got a perfect medium action with plenty of room to lower the action as much as needed. The 000-28EC is one of Martin's all-time great signature guitars, with an absolutely perfect soft V-shaped neck profile and a great medium action. An absolute classic in every sense. Includes original hardshell case.
