Available at Acoustic Centre Melbourne

There are custom shop guitars, and then there are guitars like this - a one-of-a-kind Martin OM conceived and specified by Acoustic Centre staff during a personal visit to the historic Martin factory in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, with every timber hand-selected in person from Martin's premium tonewood inventory. Built to the beloved 000/OM auditorium body shape with Golden Era scalloped X-bracing and hand-shaped braces, this guitar represents the full expression of Martin's custom shop capabilities applied to a genuinely extraordinary set of tonewoods. The certified high-altitude Swiss European spruce top - rare, stiff, and exquisitely responsive - is paired with a premium-grade ziricote back and sides, one of the most visually spectacular and tonally distinctive tonewoods available anywhere in the world, producing a tone that is simultaneously warm, complex, and strikingly clear across the entire dynamic range.

The appointments throughout are breathtaking in their refinement - Golden Era Style 42 short snowflake fingerboard inlays in mother of pearl set into a hand-stained black ebony fingerboard, a premium-grade ziricote headplate bearing the CFM Block Golden Era mother of pearl logo, a full-thickness V neck profile with Modern 30s style heel, a three-ring fine herringbone rosette, Style 28 checker back purfling with straight fine herringbone top inlay, antique white binding, and Grover Nickel StaTite tuners with vintage buttons.

Features

  • Certified high-altitude Swiss European spruce top with Golden Era scalloped X-bracing and hand shaping delivers a supremely responsive, complex, and harmonically rich acoustic voice that rewards every nuance of playing technique.
  • Premium-grade ziricote back and sides produce a tone of extraordinary character - warm and woody with a crystalline top-end clarity and natural projection that makes this tonewood pairing one of the most compelling available in any custom acoustic guitar.
  • Golden Era Style 42 short snowflake mother of pearl fingerboard inlays set into a hand-stained black ebony fingerboard reflect the very finest tradition of Martin's decorative craftsmanship, historically reserved for the most prestigious models in the range.
  • Full-thickness V neck profile with Modern 30s style heel, premium-grade ziricote headplate, diamond volute, and CFM Block Golden Era mother of pearl headstock inlay deliver a playing feel and visual presence that is unmistakably and gloriously vintage in character.
  • Every tonewood in this guitar was personally hand-selected by Acoustic Centre staff at the Martin factory in Nazareth, Pennsylvania - making this a genuinely unrepeatable instrument, built once and never again.
