The Martin D-17 reimagines the dreadnought tradition with a warm, vintage voice driven by all-mahogany construction. Solid mahogany used for the top, back and sides produces a woody, articulate tone with a focused midrange and naturally compressed dynamics, ideal for fingerstyle playing or punchy, dry flatpicking. Forward-shifted X-bracing adds openness and projection, giving the D-17 a bold voice while retaining its signature warmth and clarity.

A GE Modified Low Oval neck with a high-performance taper ensures fast, comfortable fretting, while the ebony fingerboard and 1.75" nut width support smooth playability across all styles. Vintage appointments including diamond and square short inlays, a faux tortoiseshell pickguard and nickel open-gear tuners complete the classic aesthetic, making this dreadnought a genuine choice for players who want rich tone and timeless Martin craftsmanship.
