Available at Acoustic Centre Melbourne

The Martin D-45 stands at the very peak of Martin’s acoustic guitar lineup, combining legendary tone with the most ornate craftsmanship ever applied to a production dreadnought. Built with a premium Sitka spruce top and East Indian rosewood back and sides, the D-45 delivers immense depth, clarity, and harmonic complexity, with powerful projection balanced by a refined, piano-like response. Forward-shifted scalloped X-bracing enhances openness and headroom, making this an inspiring instrument for both commanding strumming and nuanced fingerstyle work.

Visually, the D-45 is unmistakable. Hand-inlaid abalone adorns the top, back, sides, and neck, framed by antique white binding and multi-stripe purfling for a look that defines acoustic luxury. A reimagined Standard Series neck with a Modified Low Oval profile and High-Performance Taper ensures modern playability, while traditional Martin construction details preserve the unmistakable feel and voice that have made the D-45 the guitar of choice for generations of iconic players. This is a true heirloom instrument - built to perform, built to inspire, and built to last.

This 2023-built guitar is stunning in every respect, and it's in incredible condition with barely any sign of playwear whatsoever. It's got a great medum action that is effortlessly playable, and the toe is jaw-droppingly beautiful, with sparkling overtones, rich harmonic complexity, piano-like low end and a seemingly endless amount of headroom. It's a dream guitar in every respect, and a fantastic example of Martins iconic flagship dreadnought. Includes original hardshell case.
