Martin D-45 Preowned 2004

Available at Acoustic Centre Melbourne

Includes Hardshell Case

The Martin D-45 Standard stands at the very top of Martin’s production lineup, representing the ultimate expression of their craftsmanship and heritage. This 2004 example features a solid Sitka spruce top paired with East Indian rosewood back and sides, delivering a full-bodied dreadnought tone with deep lows, shimmering highs, and a balanced midrange that records beautifully. The tonewood pairing offers remarkable projection and warmth, ideal for both studio and stage.

Adorned with hand-inlaid abalone pearl on every edge, the D-45 is a masterpiece of precision and elegance. Its 14-fret dreadnought body, low-profile neck, and ebony fingerboard make it effortless to play, while its ornate appointments—abalone rosette, ivoroid binding, and gold tuners—underscore its position as Martin’s flagship model. This D-45 embodies the sound and look that define the phrase “world-class acoustic guitar.”

This 2004-built D-45 sounds as incredible as it looks, with lush overtones, deep piano-like bass and a loud, commanding voice. This era of D-45's were built with a slimmer 1-11/16" nut width, perfect for strummers, and a professionally-installed LR Baggs HiFi pickup system. It's in wonderful condition, with only light playwear mostly confined to the pickguard, and a great medium action that can handle the heaviest of right hands. An heirloom dreadnought in every sense. Includes original hardshell case.
