The Martin DE Retro Plus Mahogany brings together the qualities players love in a classic Martin dreadnought with modern build touches from the Road Series. Inspired by Martin's iconic 18-style models, it pairs a torrefied solid spruce top with solid mahogany back and sides for a powerful, open voice that feels broken-in from the first strum. The thermally aged spruce top adds resonance and warmth, offering the depth and responsiveness usually associated with a well-played instrument.
A comfortable Performing Artist neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge, and scalloped X-bracing combine for strong projection and a wide dynamic range, while LR Baggs Element electronics with onboard volume and tone controls provide a natural, reliable amplified sound. It's ideal for gigging musicians and players stepping up into their first premium acoustic, on stage or in the studio.
