The Martin DX2E 12-String is part of Martin's X Series - built with High Pressure Laminate (HPL) back and sides finished in a Brazilian Rosewood pattern, paired with a solid Sitka spruce top for genuine solid-wood tone at an accessible price. The 12-string format adds the lush, shimmering chorus effect that only doubled strings can provide, layering beautifully under vocals or filling out a mix on its own. HPL construction is also notably resistant to humidity and temperature swings, making the DX2E a practical choice for gigging musicians and players who travel.
Fishman MX electronics deliver reliable, natural-sounding amplified tone with onboard tuning, and the Dreadnought body shape provides the volume and low-end authority needed to carry a full 12-string chord. A durable Micarta bridge and Richlite fingerboard round out a specification built for real-world use over showroom polish. Ideal for players who want the shimmer of a 12-string without the price or fragility of an all-solid-wood instrument.
