The Maton SRS70C-12 is the definitive Australian 12-string acoustic-electric - a full-body dreadnought with Venetian cutaway built in Maton’s Box Hill workshop from solid Sitka spruce and solid Tasmanian Blackwood that delivers the rich, shimmering, and naturally powerful 12-string voice with the performance reliability, playability, and acoustic-electric capability that only Maton’s decades of craftsmanship can provide. The solid Blackwood back and sides deliver the warm, resonant, and naturally projecting tonal character that has made Tasmanian Blackwood Maton’s most celebrated tonewood - a distinctly Australian acoustic voice with a warmth and complexity that rosewood and mahogany cannot replicate, and one that responds to the doubled strings of the 12-string format with a lush, full, and harmonically rich shimmer of exceptional beauty.

This Custom SRS70C-12 departs from the standard natural satin finish with a full body satin black finish and pinstripe purfling - a refined, monochromatic elegance that gives this 12-string a stage presence and visual authority entirely its own, and pairs perfectly with the existing black outer binding of the standard SRS70C-12 specification. The satin nitrocellulose lacquer preserves maximum acoustic resonance and natural playing feel throughout. Scalloped Maton X-bracing, Queensland Maple neck, streaky ebony fingerboard and bridge, sapele ring rosette, 50mm bone nut, bone saddle, AP5 Pro pickup system - internal microphone and six-piezo bridge input with independent blend controls and sweepable mid EQ - Chrome Grover Rotomatic tuners, Elixir Nanoweb Phosphor Bronze 10-47 strings, and Maton hardshell case complete a Custom specification of genuine Australian quality and performing capability.

Features
