The National T-14 Cutaway Tricone is a modern evolution of the original National Tricone, which John Dopyera launched back in 1927 with three internal resonators for acoustic amplification. The T-14 is National's first 14-fret cutaway Tricone, offering improved playability for modern guitarists while retaining the famously loud, cutting resonator sound. A formed back and 3-1/2 inch deep body give the T-14 a similar body volume to its 12-fret counterpart.

A weathered finish reflects National's well-travelled heritage, and an unbound ebony fretboard sits on a maple neck with a 25.65 inch scale length, topped by an ebony headstock overlay and vintage-style tuning machines. The guitar comes fitted with a National Villex slimline pickup, making it ideal for players wanting classic Tricone tone and power on stage as well as acoustically.
