A solid Sitka spruce top paired with nato back, sides, and a slim nato body produces a warm, open nylon-string voice, while Yamaha's Advanced NX bracing boosts low-end resonance for a fuller sound than many nylon-string guitars offer at this level.

A modern, slim nato neck and walnut fingerboard with an ultra-flat 23-5/8" radius and a narrower 1-7/8" nut width make the transition from steel-string or electric guitar straightforward, and the undersaddle pickup paired with Yamaha's onboard preamp and 3-band EQ, plus a built-in tuner, means it's ready to plug straight into an amp or PA. Finished in black. Ideal for electric and steel-string players who want to try nylon-string tone and technique on a guitar that feels immediately familiar in the hand.
