The Powers Electric A-Type reimagines the solidbody electric guitar from the ground up, designed by Andy Powers, the driving force behind many of Taylor Guitars' most forward-thinking instruments. Its fully hollow Urban Ash body is topped with a solid, braced maple top for a lightweight build with genuine acoustic resonance and strong feedback resistance, all wrapped in the exclusive 'Chroma Watermelon' colour-shifting paint that shifts hue with every change of light and angle.
FF42 "Full Faraday" pickups combine humbucker warmth with added clarity and vocal depth, while the camshaft-inspired Camtail vibrato draws on classic pedal steel design for smooth, expressive pitch modulation. Every piece of hardware, down to the artisan resin knobs and trem arm tip, is handbuilt in-house at Powers Electric, ideal for players chasing a genuinely fresh sonic voice and a look unlike anything else on the wall.
