POWERS-ATYPE-CHROMA

Powers Electric A-Type 'Chroma Watermelon' with Camtail Vibrato Electric Guitar

Available at Acoustic Centre Melbourne

Includes Gig Bag

Step into the future of electric guitar design with the Powers Electric A-Type, a revolutionary instrument created by Andy Powers, the visionary behind Taylor Guitars. The A-Type merges retro inspiration with forward-thinking engineering, delivering a fully hollow, solid-braced maple top on an Urban Ash body. Its lightweight, feedback-resistant construction offers stunning resonance and tonal depth, all wrapped in a jaw-dropping 'Chroma Watermelon' finish—an exclusive color-shifting paint that shimmers and shifts with light and angle. This one-of-a-kind finish sets a new standard for visual artistry on a guitar.

Sonically, the A-Type is a marvel. Equipped with FF42 "Full Faraday" pickups—humbucker-inspired with enhanced clarity and vocal depth—it delivers both richness and high-fidelity character. The camshaft-style vibrato system adds smooth, expressive pitch modulation, drawing inspiration from classic pedal steel sounds. From its handbuilt hardware to artisan resin knobs and trem arm tip, every detail is custom-made in-house at Powers Electric. This is a standout instrument for players who want innovation, style, and sonic excellence in one game-changing guitar.
