The Gibson Murphy Lab 1957 SJ-200 captures the grandeur and authority of Gibson's most iconic flat-top, recreated with painstaking attention to vintage detail. Known as the King of the Flat-Tops, the SJ-200 delivers a vast, piano-like low end, clear articulation and unmistakable visual presence, with this Custom Shop model reflecting the golden-era originals through classic tonewoods and expert craftsmanship.
A thermally aged Sitka spruce top and beautifully figured flame maple back and sides give this guitar a powerful yet refined tonal response with exceptional projection, while the Murphy Lab Light Aged treatment adds subtle wear and patina for the broken-in feel of a well-loved vintage example. This 2023-built guitar is in phenomenal condition, with incredibly subtle aging and superb playability, and remains ideal for players and collectors seeking authentic Gibson heritage tone with modern build quality. Includes original hardshell case.
