Built by Fender’s Custom Shop in Corona, California, this 1965 Telecaster Custom Relic captures the look, feel, and tone of one of the most iconic double-bound Tele designs of the mid-’60s. Finished in beautifully aged black nitrocellulose lacquer with parchment binding, it delivers the unmistakable vintage aesthetic of a well-loved original, paired with the precision and consistency of modern Custom Shop craftsmanship.

The alder body and maple neck with a comfortable ’60s Oval “C” profile offer classic Tele snap with smooth playability, while the compound 7.25"–9.5" fingerboard radius blends authentic vintage feel with improved bending and control. Hand-wound Custom Shop ’64 Tele pickups provide articulate lows, cutting mids, and crisp highs, making this guitar equally at home with clean country tones, edge-of-breakup blues, or driven rock textures.

This 2019-built Custom Shop guitar is in superb condition, with some really cool factory relicing and a slinky, fast action. Weighing just 3.3kg, it's has classic Tele tone in spades with a smooth, refined voice that has plenty of bite when needed. Complete with its original Custom Shop case, certificate of authenticity and all original case candy this is a standout example of a Time Machine-era Telecaster Custom built for players and collectors alike.
