AUSTRALIA'S #1 ACOUSTIC GUITAR SPECIALIST
AUSTRALIA'S #1 ACOUSTIC GUITAR SPECIALIST
The Cole Clark Mastergrade Recording Grand Auditorium is built entirely from solid Mastergrade Australian Blackwood, one of the most tonally complex tonewoods in the Cole Clark range, delivering a balanced voice with strong low-end presence and clear, controlled mids. The Recording bracing pattern pairs a large X brace with a classical-style T brace, while the 3mm top is internally carved to 2.6mm in selected areas to increase responsiveness and allow the top to react quickly to both light fingerstyle and heavier strumming. A smaller soundhole enhances bass response and projection, making this the loudest acoustic design in Cole Clark's range and well suited to solo performers and live band settings where natural volume and note separation are essential. Spanish Heel construction integrates the neck directly into the body structure, increasing sustain and structural rigidity compared to bolt-on or dovetail joins, and Plek fret dressing ensures consistent action and intonation across the full length of the neck.
The Cole Clark PG3 three-way pickup system blends an undersaddle strip piezo for low frequencies, a face sensor crossed over at 350Hz for mids, and a microphone engaging at 6kHz for high-frequency detail, producing a natural amplified tone with strong feedback resistance that holds up in demanding live environments. A 25.5" scale length, 44mm nut width, and 12-inch radius rosewood fingerboard support confident fretting and expressive playing across all styles. Finished in natural satin nitrocellulose, this is an ideal choice for serious performers who want maximum acoustic output, genuine tonal complexity, and a highly natural plugged-in sound from an all-Australian tonewood build.
