This Santa Cruz OM Custom combines vintage-inspired design with contemporary luthiery, built on the classic Orchestra Model shape with a Sitka spruce top over Bubinga back and sides. The pairing gives a clear, articulate voice with strong projection and even balance across the tonal spectrum, while Adirondack spruce bracing assembled with hot hide glue adds warmth, response, and dynamic range suited to both light fingerstyle and aggressive flatpicking.
The appointments are just as considered as the tone: a custom Bubinga headstock overlay, Bubinga body binding with bmb side purfling, black binding with bmb purfling on the fingerboard and peghead, and an ivoroid rosette give the guitar a boutique look to match its boutique build. Diamonds & Squares short-pattern inlays, bone bridge and end pins, and Gotoh 510 chrome tuners complete a guitar that is ideal for players seeking Santa Cruz's reputation for tonal excellence in a genuinely custom instrument.
