Available at Acoustic Centre Melbourne

The Santa Cruz OM Grand is a bigger, lusher, and more powerful version of Santa Cruz's acclaimed OM model - an enlarged body inspired by the C.F. Martin 0000 format that delivers the volume and projection of a dreadnought with the string-to-string balance and articulation that the OM body shape is celebrated for. This 2012 example (serial OMG 006) is a custom build completed for Redwood Guitars, featuring a Sitka spruce top paired with mahogany back and sides - a tonewood combination that produces a warm, focused, and beautifully balanced acoustic voice ideally suited to both fingerpicking and flatpicking. Adirondack bracing attached with hot hide glue enhances resonance, stiffness, and long-term tonal development, while the wider 2-1/4" bridge spacing provides a generous and comfortable fingerstyle feel.

Custom appointments for this build include tortoise binding on the body, a custom Redwood Guitars rosette and top border, and Gold Gotoh 510 tuners with black buttons - distinguishing this instrument from the standard OM Grand specification. The clean ebony fingerboard with no inlays gives the guitar a particularly refined, understated aesthetic. Handmade in Santa Cruz, California, this is an instrument for discerning players who want the volume and presence of a large-body acoustic with the tonal clarity and balance that Santa Cruz is universally celebrated for.

This custom-built 2012 guitar is in wonderful condition, with minimal playwear and a professionally-installed LR Baggs Lyric pickup system on board. It's a sensational sounding and feeling guitar, and it's truly premium-feeling in every way. It's understated looks and incredible build quality are only surpassed by it's refined, complex and balanced tone. Includes original hardshell case.
