Cole Clark SFL1EC Studio Dreadnought 'Redwood / Queensland Maple' 'Natural' Acoustic Electric Guitar

Includes Hardshell Case

Available at Acoustic Centre Melbourne

The Cole Clark SFL1EC Redwood/Maple is a beautifully individual and tonally distinctive all-Australian instrument that combines a solid Australian-grown American Redwood top with solid Queensland Maple back and sides - a tonewood pairing of genuine rarity and tonal character that produces a warm, sweet, and naturally resonant acoustic voice unlike any more common combination. Australian-grown American Redwood is an extraordinary top wood choice - softer and more immediately responsive than spruce or cedar, with a natural warmth and harmonic sweetness that opens up quickly and rewards expressive, nuanced playing with an organic depth and richness that harder-topped alternatives cannot replicate. Queensland Maple back and sides add a bright, focused tonal character with clear midrange definition and natural projection, producing a cohesive and well-balanced acoustic voice across the full tonal range.

Cole Clark's internally carved top and back allow both tonewoods to resonate with maximum acoustic freedom, while the Spanish heel integral neck construction joins the neck to the body as a single continuous unit for superior vibration transfer and the characteristically open, resonant acoustic voice that defines Cole Clark's finest instruments. Note that Cole Clark specifically recommend this model is not used for percussive playing - the American Redwood top's softness and responsiveness that makes it so tonally rewarding also makes it more susceptible to impact damage. The PG3 True Acoustic pickup system, She Oak fingerboard and bridge, abalone dot inlays, inlaid timber binding, purfling and rosette, Grover machine heads, and natural satin nitrocellulose finish complete an instrument of genuine distinction and tonal individuality. Supplied in Cole Clark's iconic tweed hardcase. Ideal for fingerstyle players, singer-songwriters, and players who want a warm, sweet, and naturally responsive all-Australian acoustic-electric with a tonewood combination that stands apart from everything else in the Cole Clark range.
