The Eastman T58/GD is a striking new addition to Eastman’s celebrated archtop range - a 16" Venetian cutaway semi-hollow thinline dressed in a deeply evocative Truetone Gold finish that channels the visual opulence of the golden age of American archtop design while delivering the practical performing advantages of Eastman’s contemporary build standards and electronics. The Truetone Gold finish - a lustrous, light-catching gold over the spruce laminate top - is the defining visual character of this instrument, giving it a warmth and radiance that photographs don’t fully capture and that sets it apart immediately from the more conventional sunburst and natural finishes of the T-series range.

Spruce laminate top and maple laminate back and sides provide the responsive, warm, and naturally semi-hollow voice that Eastman’s archtop players have come to expect - articulate, clear, and with the natural acoustic resonance that laminate archtop construction uniquely delivers under the fingers even without amplification. A pair of Toneride Vtron pickups - Eastman’s own voiced single-coil-style units in silver rings - capture the guitar’s natural acoustic character with clarity, warmth, and the chimey, dynamic response that defines the archtop electric voice. Bigsby B70 vibrato tailpiece, Göldo 3-Point Vario bridge on ebony, pearl split block inlays, ivoroid binding on neck and body, ebony fingerboard, Traditional Even C neck profile, Gotoh Relic Series SD90 tuners, Goldo ELK2B switch, CTS 500K pots, Switchcraft output jack, and Truetone gloss finish complete a specification of considerable vintage-inspired character and performing refinement. New model.
