The Taylor 214ce 'Walnut' pairs a solid Sitka spruce top with layered walnut back and sides, delivering a crisp, articulate tone with strong projection and plenty of headroom for chordal rhythm work and expressive fingerstyle playing alike. The Grand Auditorium body shape keeps the guitar comfortable across long sessions, while the satin-finished top, back and sides let the walnut's grain show through without a heavy build-up of lacquer.
Taylor's Expression System 2 electronics translate the 214ce's natural voice faithfully through a PA or interface, and the West African Crelicam ebony fingerboard and tropical mahogany neck offer smooth, fast playability. Forward shifted bracing and die-cast chrome tuners round out a dependable specification, ideal for gigging players and advancing students who want genuine Taylor tone and construction.
