Taylor 412ce-R 'Tobacco Sunburst' V-Class Acoustic Electric Guitar

Available at Acoustic Centre Melbourne

The Taylor 412ce-R 'Tobacco Sunburst' V-Class Acoustic Electric Guitar represents a harmonious blend of elegant aesthetics and tonal enhancements, typical of Taylor's revered 400 Series. This acoustic-electric Grand Auditorium guitar incorporates the groundbreaking V-Class bracing, a revolutionary design element that transforms its sonic capabilities.

The V-Class bracing technology employed in the 412ce-R dramatically elevates its acoustic performance. It enhances volume uniformly across the tonal spectrum, increases sustain, and substantially improves the guitar's natural intonation. This innovative bracing system creates a more synchronized response from the soundboard, resulting in a harmonious relationship between the notes you play. This synergy allows chords to resonate with remarkable coherence, enriching your musical expression. If you have an affinity for the rich lows and crisp highs of rosewood, you'll appreciate how the overtones are finely balanced as your notes blossom. The 412ce-R is a testament to the harmony of sight and sound, with tasteful appointments that please both the eyes and ears.

V-Class bracing represents a groundbreaking advancement in guitar construction. By combining stiffness and flexibility in the guitar top, V-Class bracing optimizes volume and sustain. It provides stiffness parallel to the strings, enhancing rigidity for prolonged sustain. Meanwhile, flexibility on either side facilitates the necessary air movement for robust projection. This innovative design achieves the best of both worlds and significantly enhances intonation. Not only does it produce louder, longer-sustaining notes, but it also ensures that these notes are in tune with one another.

The 412ce-R is endowed with a tonally exceptional combination: a Sitka spruce top paired with Indian rosewood back and sides. Sitka spruce, a renowned top tonewood, offers a blend of strength and elasticity that results in a broad dynamic range. It delivers crisp articulation, making it suitable for various playing styles, from delicate fingerpicking to vigorous flatpicked strumming. Indian rosewood, used for the back and sides, offers an extended frequency range and rich, musical tonality that has earned it premium status among tonewoods. Its potent low end provides a robust growl, while its sparkling treble notes resonate with bell-like clarity. With a slight midrange scoop compared to mahogany, rosewood guitars like the 412ce-R excel in solo performances, vocal accompaniment, and recording in less densely arranged settings.

For amplified performances, the Taylor Expression System 2 (ES2) electronics integrated into the 412ce-R provide an exceptional solution. The ES2 system boasts a three-section proprietary pickup positioned behind the saddle. Its strategic placement and seamless integration deliver exceptionally clear and accurate sound. Alongside a master volume control, a pair of tone controls allows you to fine-tune the highs and lows to suit your preferences. Additionally, a discrete phase switch is included to tackle onboard feedback suppression, ensuring a flawless live performance experience.

Includes Taylor hardshell case.
