This Taylor Fall 2004 Limited Edition Cocobolo GS is a rare, highly collectible acoustic-electric guitar built around Taylor's powerful Grand Symphony body shape. It pairs a solid Sitka spruce top with striking Cocobolo back and sides for a voice that is both commanding and refined, the spruce delivering exceptional clarity and projection while the Cocobolo contributes rich overtones and a piano-like bass response that continues to develop with age.
Curly maple binding, an abalone rosette and a high-gloss finish showcase the dramatic figuring of the Cocobolo, and Taylor's original Expression System electronics capture the guitar's natural acoustic character with accuracy on stage or in the studio. This particular example was built in 2008 and remains in superb condition with almost zero playwear, a deep, round, piano-like tone and tremendous headroom, making it ideal for a discerning player or collector after a genuinely rare Taylor Grand Symphony. Includes the original hardshell case.
