Fenech VTH Auditorium 'Camphor Laurel' Acoustic Electric Guitar

Includes Hardshell Case

Available at Acoustic Centre Melbourne

Aaron Fenech, renowned for his innovative use of Australian-grown tonewoods, has crafted the Fenech VTH Auditorium Acoustic Electric Guitar using Camphor Laurel—a unique and distinctive tonewood. Known for his scientific approach to guitar-making, Fenech has spent over a decade perfecting the use of Camphor Laurel, exploring its tonal potential through meticulous experimentation with density, mass, and bracing techniques. His expertise has resulted in a guitar that combines exceptional sound quality with an environmentally conscious approach.

Camphor Laurel, originally brought to Australia from Asia in 1822, has become a valued tonewood despite its status as a disruptive species. Its attractive grain, workability, and tonal properties make it a favorite among fine furniture makers and now, guitar builders. By using Camphor Laurel, Fenech and his team contribute to restoring native vegetation with each instrument crafted.

The Camphor Laurel's crisp, warm mid-range and slight bass leaning make it ideal for both strummers and flat pickers. Its unique visual appeal adds a distinctive touch for musicians seeking something extraordinary. The Fenech VTH Auditorium 'Camphor Laurel' Acoustic Electric Guitar is a testament to Aaron Fenech's commitment to craftsmanship and environmental stewardship, offering a blend of exceptional sound and visual beauty that stands out in any musical setting.

We endeavour to show the actual instrument in stock whenever possible, but the guitar in stock may differ slightly from the one shown on our website. Materials used can look different from guitar to guitar, including timber grain and colour, parts colours and finishing. If an instrument is a one-of-a-kind or preowned guitar, the picture will always be of the actual guitar in stock, but production models may have slight variations to the picture shown.

If you're after a particular look, feel free to email us at info@acousticcentre.com.au or send us a message through our chat service to request photos of the actual guitar in stock. We are more than happy to send through pictures of all in-stock guitars, to make your choice easier.

Please note that returns will not be accepted for variations in timber grain /  colouring, finish variations and parts colouring, unless there is a fault with the instrument. If you have any questions at all regarding an instrument's appearance, just drop us a line - we're always happy to send photos, and if we have more than one instrument in stock you'll be able to choose the exact guitar that you receive!
