Taylor Custom Water Buffalo Bridge Pins - White with Awabi Shell Inlay

Bridge pins have a direct influence on acoustic tone, and upgrading from plastic to quality bone is one of the most cost-effective improvements any acoustic guitar player can make. Taylor's Custom Water Buffalo Bone Bridge Pins are precisely machined from natural, responsibly sourced water buffalo bone to optimise fit and contact with the bridge, improving the transmission of string vibration to the soundboard for enhanced resonance, sustain, and note definition, with a tighter, more articulate acoustic response and improved clarity across the full frequency range, particularly noticeable in the low end and sustain.

The Awabi shell inlay, sourced from Japanese abalone, produces a deep, complex iridescence with shifting green, blue, and gold tones that bring a distinctly premium character to the set. While designed with Taylor guitars in mind, these pins are compatible with most acoustic guitars and represent a worthwhile upgrade regardless of brand. It's ideal for players who want a simple, meaningful tonal improvement alongside a more distinguished aesthetic.
