Handcrafted in Japan, this traditional western cutaway guitar features Yamaha’s exclusive A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) treatment on a solid Sitka spruce top, delivering a mature, broken-in response with enhanced warmth, projection, and dynamic range straight out of the case.
Paired with solid rosewood back and sides, the A5R ARE produces a rich, full-bodied voice with deep bass, clear highs, and excellent note separation. New scalloped bracing boosts volume and resonance, while the SRT2 pickup system provides natural, studio-quality plugged-in tone for live performance. With a comfortable neck profile, premium hardware, and a supplied hardshell case, the A5R ARE is built to perform night after night on stage or in the studio.
