A select hardwood neck with Martin’s GE Modified Low Oval profile and 1.75" nut width provides smooth, modern playability across the sleek ebony fingerboard. Aesthetically, the D-28 remains faithful to its roots with antique white binding, a multi-stripe rosette, faux tortoiseshell pickguard, and nickel open-gear tuners. The updated thinner beveled fingerboard and vintage-style heel are part of Martin’s Standard Series refinements, blending tradition with comfortable performance. Used items have a flat rate shipping fee of $59 within our usual shipping locations. We also offer competitive Express shipping options at checkout.
Customers located in Western Australia, Northern Territory and Far North Queensland recieve free shipping on all accessory orders over $99, but will incur a flat rate instrument or large item shipping charge of $179 (or $299 for Express shipping).
Used instruments fall outside of our usual shipping policy, and shipping to most addresses will be $69 - $99, as shown at checkout.
Occasionally due to issues with delivering to remote or unusual destinations, we aren't able to offer free postage. We reserve the right to retract the offer if freight costs exceed 15% of your purchase. We will always notify you if there is an issue and offer a full refund or arrange alternative delivery options.
All strings and accessories will be shipped with tracking via courier or Australia Post. Other items including guitars and amplification equipment will be shipped using our courier service providers, with a tracking number and signature on delivery.

We endeavour to show the actual instrument in stock whenever possible, but the guitar in stock may differ slightly from the one shown on our website. Materials used can look different from guitar to guitar, including timber grain and colour, parts colours and finishing. If an instrument is a one-of-a-kind or preowned guitar, the picture will always be of the actual guitar in stock, but production models may have slight variations to the picture shown.

Ever since I picked up this guitar and played it, I knew I would buy it. The quality of the craftsmanship, the tone and the action is just brilliant. It is easy to play and you won't ever be disappointed with the sound. The combination of the Spruce and Rosewood is classic and just looks and plays amazing. There is a reason why Martin has been synonymous with quality for almost two centuries.
Purchased the HD28 a couple of years ago at Acoustic Centre. Spent a good hour to two playing different models from Taylor, Maton and of course Martin. There was only one guitar that stood out from the rest, the Martin HD28. Huge tone, plenty of character and plays like a dream. A Keeper!
This is a fantastic guitar with tone to die for. It makes all my other guitars sound a bit like ukuleles! The rewards for playing it are immense; great timbers and fretboard deliver a sound that would pass an 'Eagles' audition.
