AUSTRALIA'S #1 ACOUSTIC GUITAR SPECIALIST
AUSTRALIA'S #1 ACOUSTIC GUITAR SPECIALIST
The Cole Clark Angel AN2EC Blackwood/Blackwood Humbucker is a premium acoustic-electric guitar designed for players who need both dynamic unplugged tone and the drive of an electric pickup. With a solid Australian Blackwood top, back, and sides, this Grand Auditorium cutaway model produces a rich, balanced voice that's ideal for everything from intricate fingerpicking to powerful strumming. The natural satin nitrocellulose finish enhances resonance while showcasing the stunning timber grain. Elegant snowflake inlays and timber binding add an aesthetic sophistication that matches the guitar’s tonal excellence.
This model features Cole Clark’s advanced PG3 pickup system for exceptional live performance, along with a Lollar Imperial humbucker embedded in a bridge-position block—complete with independent tone and volume controls—giving you seamless control over your amplified tone. A She Oak fretboard and bridge provide additional tonal character, while Grover tuners and a Graph Tech Tusq nut and saddle ensure reliable tuning and intonation. Whether on stage or in the studio, the AN2EC Humbucker is a truly versatile and inspiring instrument, built from sustainable timbers and hand-assembled in Australia.

All of our Cole Clarks have been PLEKed!
PLEK machines are built and sold by A+D Gitarrentechnologie of Berlin, Germany. The machines were developed by musician and guitar instructor Gerd Anke with his partner Michael Dubach, who called their company PLEKTRON when it was founded in 1990. The goal of the PLEK process they created is to guarantee the best possible string action for each instrument. Simply put, a guitar with optimised playability sounds better. The strings do not strike the frets during playing and any intonation problems that may occur due to too-low string action are eliminated. Similarly, an action that’s too high is also a thing of the past with PLEKing.
The PLEKing process is done by CNC (computer numerical control) machines, which use microprocessors to perform their tasks. That doesn’t mean human craftspeople are excluded from this process. The PLEK machine is ultimately a tool to reduce variances between guitars, which allows Cole Clark's expert builders to do their jobs more efficiently.
