The Dupont Nomade is a genuinely remarkable instrument - a travel-friendly Selmer Maccaferri-style guitar built by one of France's most celebrated luthiers, delivering the authentic Gypsy jazz tone and playability of Dupont's finest instruments at an accessible price point. Maurice Dupont has been one of the most respected names in contemporary Selmer-style guitar making since the mid-1980s, an apprentice of the legendary Jacques Favino and recipient of the prestigious "Best French Craftsman" honour in 1989. Countless Gypsy jazz stars including Biréli Lagrène, Tchavolo Schmitt, and Romane have recorded on Dupont guitars, and the Nomade brings that same authentic lineage to a compact, travel-ready format.

The Nomade's European spruce top and etimoé back and sides produce a tone that is - by all accounts - remarkably similar to Dupont's MD-50, a guitar that sells for more than twice the price. The mahogany bolt-on neck is removable for travel, making this one of the most practical and gig-ready Gypsy jazz guitars available, while the oval soundhole, 670mm scale length, gold tailpiece, Argentine 1610MF strings, and satin finish reflect an authentic Selmer-style specification throughout. Ideal for Gypsy jazz players, Django enthusiasts, and travelling musicians who want a genuine French-made Selmer-style guitar with authentic tone and the practical advantage of a removable neck.

This preowned guitar is in fantastic, almost unplayed condition. It's got the classic snap and growl that you expect in a well-made Gypsy Jazz guitar, and feels wonderfully responsive! Includes original foam soft case.
