AUSTRALIA'S #1 ACOUSTIC GUITAR SPECIALIST
AUSTRALIA'S #1 ACOUSTIC GUITAR SPECIALIST
The Gibson SJ200 Jumbo Acoustic Guitar has a storied history as one of the most iconic guitars of all time. From Elvis to Bob Dylan to Pete Townshend to Emmylou Harris to The Edge, it is the 'King of Flat-Tops', heard on many classic records. This Custom Shop 1957 model is exquisitely crafted inside and out: from the hand-selected maple for the back and sides to the period-correct nitrocellulose finish to the traditional hand-scalloped bracing and hide glue construction, it is a loving recreation of a piece of guitar history.
The word that comes to mind when one strums the SJ-200 is spacious. The jumbo shape gives it a breadth of resonance that fills the room, while the thermally aged Sitka spruce top allows it to exude both warmth and clarity. Responsive to the most subtle touch, the SJ-200 also packs a punch when you dig in, creating an immersive musical experience for both the player and listener. The attention to detail is truly stunning: the graduated crown inlays and the dandelion flower pickguard give the SJ-200 the unmistakable Gibson charm, while the rosewood fingerboard and four-bar mustache bridge provide timeless, tasteful accents. This is an heirloom instrument made for a lifetime of musical inspiration.
Includes period-correct Gibson hard case.
