The Gibson Custom Shop Byrdland is one of the most elegant and distinctive hollowbody electrics ever produced, and this 2007 example showcases everything that makes the model so revered. Originally designed for legendary guitarists Billy Byrd and Hank Garland, the Byrdland features a slim, short-scale design that delivers exceptional comfort and effortless playability. Its fully hollow carved maple body produces a warm, articulate voice with a refined, airy resonance - perfect for jazz, blues, and expressive clean tones.

Finished in a stunning Wine Red, this Custom Shop build pairs classic Gibson craftsmanship with premium appointments throughout. The shorter 23.5" scale length and slim neck profile make intricate chord work and fast melodic playing feel incredibly fluid, while dual humbuckers deliver rich, smooth tones with excellent clarity and balance. With its bound ebony fingerboard, ornate inlays, and gold hardware, the Byrdland stands as both a visual and tonal masterpiece, ideal for players seeking a sophisticated, vintage-inspired instrument with unmatched feel.

This 2007-built guitar is something of a holy grail for archtop fans, but it's slinky feel, stunningly sophisticated tone and flawless build quality just as appealing to players of all styles and backgrounds. It's in wonderful condition, with minimal playwear and only a couple of minor dings. The playability is superb, and the short scale makes the most complex of jazz chords a breeze. If you've been looking for a versatile hollowbody that stands out from the crowd, they simpy don't get any better! Includes original hardshell case.
