The Maton Master Built L.E. May is a bold step forward in acoustic guitar design, combining cutting-edge innovation with Maton’s time-honoured craftsmanship. Following the legacy of Andy Allen, this series is now led by Patrick Evans and a handpicked team of expert luthiers. Built using acoustic mapping and material science, each Master Built instrument is individually voiced and meticulously crafted to deliver tonal excellence that rivals the world’s finest guitars.

The L.E. May pays tribute to the iconic W.A. May model with a traditional deep body cutaway, a redesigned compact headstock, and stunning period-inspired appointments. Its European spruce top offers clear, articulate highs, while the figured Victorian Blackwood back and sides lend warmth, balance, and resonance. Bound in Satin Box timber with BWB pinstriping, it exudes elegance. Finished in gloss natural and fitted with Maton’s AP5 PRO pickup system, this premium instrument is as stage-ready as it is beautiful.
