The Taylor BAR-6 is a purpose-built baritone acoustic-electric that brings Taylor's celebrated Grand Symphony body shape and premium tonewoods to the lower registers, delivering a rich, deep, and expansive acoustic voice that opens up tonal territory simply unavailable on a standard guitar. Tuned B to B - five full tones below standard pitch - the BAR-6 uses a longer 27" scale length to maintain comfortable string tension at the lower tuning, producing a tone that is full and defined rather than loose and muddy. The Grand Symphony body - Taylor's boldest and richest acoustic platform, with its wider waist, bigger lower bout, and expansive tonal presence - is ideally suited to baritone voicing, delivering the piano-like bass, meaty midrange, and thick shimmering highs that make the BAR-6 as compelling in an ensemble context as it is in solo performance.

The solid Sitka spruce top paired with Indian rosewood back and sides is a tonewood combination of proven acoustic pedigree - Indian rosewood's deep low end and bright, articulate treble complementing the spruce top's natural clarity and projection to create a baritone voice of genuine sophistication. Indian rosewood binding, ebony fingerboard with small diamond inlays, ebony bridge pins with abalone dots, bone nut and saddle, Taylor gold tuners, and Taylor's Expression System electronics deliver a guitar that is as visually refined as it is tonally exceptional. Ideal for singer-songwriters who want to explore lower registers, recording musicians seeking a different sonic texture, and players who want a baritone that can hold its own in any ensemble setting.

This 2011-built guitar is in great condition with very little playwear and is aging beautifully. It's incredibly playable, with a deep, sonorous voice that never becomes muddy. A beautiful baritone guitar in every sense. Includes original hardshell case.
